Portugal will impose temporary border controls from 10 to 14 May 2017 in preparation for the 100th anniversary of apparitions of Our Lady of Fatima. Travellers are likely to experience delays at border crossings and air/sea ports. The level of the advice has not changed. We continue to advise Australians to exercise normal safety precautions in Portugal.
