If it snowed here in December (or even June) I would seriously worry about the climate!☺ Live in Australia in Queensland. Haven't seen snow my entire life. Totally want to one day. Have to go to down south. Would love some decent rain though.

So much of Leonard Nimoy is part of Spock's character. It's like a split personality. Both outstanding beings . One Human and one Vulcan.

I got all excited about this for a second before remembering it's tabletop, not a video game. Same thing happened when it was announced. You should really use "tabletop" in your headlines! Tabletop games are great and all, but I associate "RPG" with video games, and it would be so great to see something like this as a video game...
I know that Star Trek online didn't fair too well, but that's okay, because it was an MMO, and MMOs suck. But! I think a true Star Trek RPG, single player, could be really great. Or, a episode based one like Tell Tale games could capture the feel of the series. Either one of those games should come with a Battlefield / Battlefront styled shooter, multiplayer only, as a bonus.
12/02/2016 at 03:25
Can someone please explain this to me? So if we sign up for one the ships, what happens? Do we need any of their stuff to play? Do we need to buy anything or are they going to send us stuff? I've never played a tabletop game before and this seems so cool but I have literally no clue what this article is saying. Thank you!

I tried. I really did, but when the game eventually turned to pay-to-play, I couldn't.
I'm all about buying all the Trek I can on Blu-Ray and the like, but mindlessly spending real money to advance a free game is illogical, because it cannot endure.

I've been playing for what I think is quite a while. level 21 at the moment. And you really don't need to spend anything to get anywhere.

Bollocks to the politics here. Guinan was a sorely undeveloped character on TNG. No real backstory except a few hints from Q when he shows up and force-introduces them to the Borg.

The beauty of this moment is that DeForest Kelly is actually doing some solid acting. Another, lesser actor would just stand there. Kelly as McCoy makes the motion to make the attempt a the hand sign, but realizes there's no time. It's subtle, but the best acting often is.

"Damn it Jim....I'm a doctor..... not a Vulcan...."
I always thought it quite unlikely that Kirk, as Captain of the Enterprise, and Spock's commanding officer, would NOT know that the Vulcan ambassador and his wife are Spock's parents. Despite playing a 'hard ass' in this episode, Mark Lenard (Sarek) was a very dear and gentle man ... as kind and warm as Dee Kelley.

Reexamine your entire life, isn't a bad idea. There's always going to be times when you want to go back in time for something that you want to undo, but you couldn't. Unfortunately, it's what life is.
11/30/2016 at 23:31
Tapestry is one of my all time favourite episodes!! It points out that even though there are certain events in one's life that you want to do things differently, it is those moments that shape you to be the person you are today. Embrace it, for regrets are just a waste of time.

"Plus, it was great to have hair again, however briefly. I looked like an evil Ben Franklin." - Robert Picardo
I don't know about the rest of you, but when I read that, I could hear his voice lamenting the hair, not just see the words. I'm almost done with a "Voyager" binge, that may have something to do with it, lol.

Awesome actor perfect choice to portray the EMH. His interactions with Neelix were hilarious. Always liked his line in First Contact " I am a Doctor not a door stop!"

Sorry... just don't care about this series any more... You screw the fans by suing Anaxar because you didn't like the fact that they came up with the idea first (Garth)... and then you put up a paywall for "streaming" via a monthly fee WITH commercials.
Thanks for killing an awesome franchise, CBS!

If you aren't going to watch because it's on a pay per view platform then don't, stop whining on an on, it's tiresome, some fans will just cherish the fact a new series is finally going to be made and give it a chance, that's the least it deserves.
11/29/2016 at 18:47
I wish they would just continue where tng ds9 and voyager left off.
11/29/2016 at 18:46
Not even going to watch. As long as they plan on putting it on the CBS All Access Pay Platform, it is something that I'm not interested in. Now, if they could promise it would remain free, then I would watch. I am interested in a new Star Trek based show, just not the added cost.

This is one of those one timers who really stands out and deserves to be remembered. It was a great episode and he was a good character in all of his roles. He'll definitely be missed.

He was one of those actors who made even small roles and short time roles, memorable. 90 years is a blessed age. May he travel safely to the Next World.

Greatest Worf lines ever (about Garak)
Worf "At the first sign of betrayal I will kill him, but I promise to return the body intact."
Sisko "I hope you're joking."
Worf "We shall see."
11/28/2016 at 01:29
For me, the best Worf line came from the novel Q-in-Law in reponse to Riker's question of what to do about Lwaxana beating the crap out of Q: "Sell tickets."
11/28/2016 at 04:48
no that's worf's reaction to seeing the fights that break out on Black Friday..the change of "Thanks Giving" to "Thanks I'll have that".
