A 17th place finish for Ricardo Christie at the Vans World Cup held at Sunset today. That wraps up the QS for the year. Billy Stairmand finished the top Kiwi in 54th with Ricardo in 57th. Looking forward to 2017.

Ricardo Christie was on fire at Sunset this morning picking up a 9.33 for this barrel winning his heat over Jack Freestone and Connor Coffin. On to Round 4 tomorrow.

New Zealand has claimed an unprecedented bronze medal at the 2016 ISA World Standup Paddle and Paddleboard Championship completed in Fiji yesterday afternoon (Sunday 20th November).

Gold Medal For Kiwis in Fiji

The New Zealand Stand Up Paddle and Paddleboard Team secured their first ever gold medal today (Wednesday 16th November) with Penelope Armstrong (Auck) claiming a world title in the SUP Women’s Technical Race. Armstrong was accompanied on the podium by medal winning performances in the Men’s and Women’s Technical Prone Races earlier in the day.
