Teach For America alumnus Danny Herrera came back to his hometown to lead as the assistant principal of his alma mater middle school: "I have family who attend this school. I have friends with kids at this school."
The application is now open for the 2017 Social Innovation Award, an annual competition that brings together alumni and corps member entrepreneurs to compete for up to $100,000 in seed funding and to receive professional coaching.
