The final stages of Gent-Wevelgem left Søren Kragh Andersen in the leading group with two other riders, chasing down a leading due. A volley of attacks saw no rider able to go clear at todays Gent-Wevelgem women's race. The first climb of the Kemmelberg was enough to shake off the majority of the field, leaving a leading group of around 20 riders. It was a tough day for our team at "Volta" Ciclista a Catalunya, A.E.. It took 70km of racing for a breakaway to finally escape, but they were brought back in time for a showdown on the days final climb.

Stage 4 of "Volta" Ciclista a Catalunya, A.E. saw the Extreme Weather Protocol implemented due to snow at the race start, as a result the stage was shortened by 60km. We had a strong team all day but our riders missed the front split and we're not in contention for a result in the finale.

The Flemish one-day races continue with E3 Harelbeke tomorrow. The race, which features no less than 15 hills and four cobblestone sections along its 206km route, includes the famous ascents of the Taaienberg, the Paterberg, and the Oude Kwaremont. Heres our roster.
