Classic comments section for the Gazette, everyone creaming over the opportunity to bully and belittle someone who they do not know. I cannot understand the psychology of being cruel to others to boost your self esteem. Some of you are in your 40s, 50s... We wonder why bullying is such a problem amongst kids, how can you be surprised when this is the example you set? Be ashamed.

There seems to be a little confusion as to why this article transpired so I will clarify. The Gazette journalist saw my tattoo on Instagram and contacted Skins and Needles in Middlesbrough and then myself. I personally don't see why my tattoo is of such interest, but there you go 😃
06/26/2017 at 18:35
Jeremy Corbyn is certainly starting to engage a new way of looking at politics, and is attracting people that didn't seem possible, along with stimulating new interest. There's even a few staunch Tories at work, who have started to praise him!

my 18 year old daughter and her boyfriend here saturday and were horrified to see a very drunken couple who also looked like druggies performing sexual acts on the grass infront of children/adults. This as you can imagine caused uproar with parents and eventually they were escorted off by police. perfect example why the pip market needs to go back to the small streets, this will keep certain sorts away. was a very bad idea this time of middlesbrough council :(

Came from darlington for the afternoon bit disappointed thought there would of been more stalls instead of all food. Think there was only one other selling air plants
06/26/2017 at 16:13
Was great for families and access for wheelchair and buggies but not much atmosphere like Baker and Bedford streets better suggest close off Albert Road and place food stalls there and keep Bedford for children activities but all in all a good day

Customers 'turfed out of pub' - for breaking 'no swearing' rule

It's a pub!!! I understand when kids are in but not on an evening. I've heard this Humphrey guy is a grade A tit like. I've heard many stories of him walking into pubs and sacking managers on the spot without any investigations or meetings.
06/26/2017 at 10:48
I applaud the policy, but I believe the manager didn't follow the policy or the email
No swearing, have a word with them, if they keep swearing, bar them
Instead, this manager just flat out turfed everyone out and shut the pub for the night, way over the top, and way beyond the "use reasonable measures" guideline
Somebody from Sam Smith's needs to outline the policy precisely to this manager, before they lose the good customers adhering to this welcome policy
06/26/2017 at 10:37
Law of cause and effect. A well established but underpatronised Indian in Stockton changed to a no alcohol policy about 2 years ago. When challenged manager said it's the latest thing in london. We replied this isn't London and we want a pint with our curries. End result was 6 months later place closed as no one went in. It's changed hands reopened and I believe closed again. Damage done and good resteraunt killed by stupid faddy policy change that was adhered to when it should have been ditched.

I just think the housing crisis is getting worse, where are all of those people in highly flammable high rise flats going to live? The Government has banked land and houses a plenty that they are sitting on to make a profit on in future years. Let's start a revolution and clad the houses of Parliament, better still, rehouse those who have lost their homes there, including number 10!! Charity begins at home Mrs May,so budge up.
06/25/2017 at 17:17
The council should buy them, do them up and rent out at an affordable price.

4,000 pest control callouts in Middlesbrough last year

Twisted Middlesbrough Council logic. Either that or someone at MBC doesn't understand the word 'proactive'.
If MBC were PROACTIVE in dealing with pest control, there wouldn't be 400 call-outs requiring a REACTIVE response.
06/25/2017 at 15:51
well if some people stopped hurting cats they wouldnt be that problem..mind looking around town at all the rubbish from bins no wonder its all them dirty takeaways ..
06/25/2017 at 18:39
It's the councils fault the bun men leave rubbish behind people are fly tipping because it costs to get rid of rubbish and also to many fast food takeaways people just drop litter anywhere no wonder there's mice n rats about x

Typical Evening Gazette... headline says "Three new MP's" but one of the 3 pics it posts is not an MP anymore. Is this paper ran by children ?
06/25/2017 at 16:57
So, we have pictures of the two new Labour MP's, but a picture of the ousted Tory MP, rather than the NEW Tory MP, Simon Clarke, who won the Middlesbrough South & East Cleveland seat from Labour for the first time since the seat was created two decades ago.
The Gazette is no more than a Labour shill, assisting the left in keeping the area relatively destitute for decades.
