A magical moment! On February 20, staff member Andrew Beatton found this beautiful adult male peregrine falcon lying injured in Pfitzner Court, near the Schulz Building and Scott Theatre. It was believed it had inadvertently flown into a window and was near death after suffering major head trauma.

Incredible new research by our Australian Centre for Ancient DNA - ACAD in partnership with the South Australian Museum has been published in Nature. Our researchers used DNA in hair samples to show Aboriginal people have been continuously present in the same regions of Australia for up to 50,000 years.
