Living up to their cutter’s namesake, the crew of #USCG Cutter Joseph Tezanos was recently recognized for their heroism, bravery and devotion to duty after coordinating the rescue of 511 passengers aboard a cruise ship that had caught fire near the Port of San Juan, Puerto Rico.

A U.S. Coast Guard Alaska aircrew rescued two people after their helicopter crashed in whiteout conditions near Dutch Harbor, Alaska. The pilot had a properly maintained and registered personal locator beacon that alerted #USCG watchstanders, ultimately saving their lives.
