Banele Nkambule joined the Unilever Future Leader Programme last year and works with the Customer Development team.

Although being away from home has been tough, the experience has been worthwhile.

“It’s not easy being away from my mother, I’ve really missed her this year, but being able to support and look after her is worth all of the hard work – especially knowing how proud she is of me”
Today we’re welcoming our new starters to Unilever as part of the UFLP.

They’ll get to work alongside our team in their respective fields getting the in-depth hands on experience to kick start their careers.

Meet Jade Fortuin, 25, who joined Unilever at the start of 2016 as a Human Resources UFLP candidate.

Here’s how he found his first few days:

“My first few days were very exciting. Most people’s perception of the corporate world is that it’s boring and dull, but it’s not like that at all. Your leaders are accessible; they literally sit right across or next to you. It’s great!”

The Unilever Africa Idea Trophy SA Finals has just come to an end, the winners are Melissa Naidoo; Savannah Cozzi and Nadia Ndhlovu.

Together with the runners up, Ndivho Maginya; Louisa Phindile and Pascale Prinsloo, they’ll be heading to the Africa finals where the best talent in Africa will be competing against each other.
