The timber company came with the worlds largest shovel
and they tortured the timber and stripped all the land
well, they cut all their trees until the land was forsaken
and they wrote all down as the progress of man.

As a person who loves living in Galleria Area Houston don't like suburbs and hate The Woodlands. It is taking jobs out of the city and is too far for people who are not fans.
04/24/2017 at 19:16
Just north of the city? Like 2 hours in traffic! Well i guess Dallas is just north of the city too..no the suburbs are def losing out to the urban areas, i mean im no math genius but 2 hours a day in traffic x 5 days a week? Thats like a whole extra week a month! No ill pay more and stay 'in the loop'
04/24/2017 at 21:44
As long as you don't drive any place once you get there. anything off I45 is AWFUL Houston area traffic is getting worse every year!! The park and rides need to run later and on weekends.

I used to swing from the vines on the cliffs along Buffalo Bayou in Memorial Park. It will be different. Like the speaker said at the Barbara Bush literacy foundation: Houston will be a nice place when it is finished. (Paraphrased).
04/24/2017 at 05:13
This is great but how about turning Memorial into an NYC Central Park and send the golfers 🏌♀ elsewhere.

I feel the same way. I went for a week last year and some how part of me stood there. Loved every aspect of it. The people, the ambiance, the food, the gorgeous views and panoramas. It was a week that I will never forget.

I always look for this building in the skyline when driving near downtown. My uncle was the head mechanical engineer that kept that building running. I remember him taking me out on the roof and down in the tunnels after hours when I was a kid. I miss him so much.

I used to work in this building, here's a view of its impressive lobby.
