The eastern alley of cherry trees in Kungsträdgården is in bloom, and the western alley has now slowly started to turn pink, too. The blossoms usually last for a couple of weeks, depending on the weather.
The cherry trees were a gift from Japan to the Swedish King Carl XVI Gustaf in 1998, and planted in the King’s garden (Kungsträdgården in Swedish).
