Did you know the first Greville to own the Castle, Fulke Greville was a poet.
Greville's poems were light and positive until the death of his close friend Philip Sydney, when his poetry took a dark and depressing turn.

Some of his most well known writings include 'A Treatise of a Monarchy' and 'A Dedication to Sir Philip Sydney'.
