Four years after the deadly Rana Plaza building collapse in Bangladesh, garment workers seeking to form unions at their factories are facing increasing harassment, even violence. Yet without unions, workers cannot ensure their workplaces are safe.

“If there was a union at Rana Plaza, (the collapse) may not have happened,” says Ronju, a Bangladesh garment worker organizer.
