It was a birders day out!
Over 50 volunteers and birding enthusiasts came together to conduct a synchronized bird census covering ten water bodies and seven forest ranges of Coimbatore Forest Division. They spotted and recorded a total of 243 species of both wetland and forest birds, including species like these Malabar pied hornbills!

Did you know that just 15 years back, there were no rhinos in Manas National Park in Assam? The National Park now has more than 30 rhinos – all thanks to the work by members of the Indian Rhino Vision 2020 (IRV 2020). Translocating rhinos from Kaziranga National Park to the region was one of many initiatives undertaken by the IRV 2020 towards protecting rhinos in India.
